One of Victoria’s best craft beer joints, Smiths Pub, is celebrating their 12th anniversary tonight. Head down to enjoy a great list of craft beers with a who’s who of the Victoria craft beer industry!
Friday brings the annual BC Craft Brewers Conference, hosted by the BC Craft Brewers Guild. This event hosts seminars, a trade show, and networking opportunities with key suppliers and those in the brewing community. If you aren’t in the industry, head to the Beered Science after-party at the Science Museum. They will have a selection of canned beers, ciders, and cocktails, access to the science installations, music, and food.
Also on Friday, Biercraft on Commerical Drive is hosting a BC Craft Beer Month tap takeover, featuring special beers from Gladstone, Strange Fellows, Twin Sails, and Doans.
Alternatively, head to the North Shore Craft Beer Week Launch Party where they will have live music, food trucks, beer from all the North Shore Breweries and a chance to try beer from three breweries that haven’t opened their doors yet!
Saturday brings the tent-pole event of BC Craft Beer Month, with the BC Beer Awards. This sold-out event features awards in 30+ categories, craft beer from the best BC breweries, amazing food trucks, and the chance to give thanks to all the hardworking brewers and brewery staff that make your favourite beers.
Also on Saturday, Beere Brewing in North Vancouver is celebrating their 1st anniversary with great beer, good times… and balloons!
On Saturday in Victoria, the 4th annual Stein & Dine has local craft beer, games, an accordion player, Oktoberfest dancers, a lederhosen contest, and more.
