October 11

We’ve all heard of food and beer pairings, but how often do you hear of music and beer pairings? On Friday night, Joe Wiebe plans to broaden your horizons with a Grand Tour of Music at Victoria’s Baumann Centre. This musical journey through five countries will showcase Baroque music paired with a special beer from each region.
Hailing from Austin, Texas, Jester King Brewery produces some of the most highly regarded farmhouse and wild ales on the planet. Their amazing beers are finally hitting BC shelves and they are celebrating with launch parties on Saturday at Darby’s Kitsilano, The Drake in Victoria, Red Beard Cafe in Kamloops, and The Curious Café in Kelowna.
In Port Moody on Saturday, Moody Ales is holding a party to celebrate their 4th anniversary. They will have food trucks, donuts, live music, and special beers all day long.
In Surrey on Saturday, Cloverfest is set to host about a dozen craft breweries, wine, food, and live music.
On Tuesday, Caffe Barney in Vancouver is hosting a tap takeover by Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers. They will even be pouring cocktails made with their spirits.
Check back next week, when we’ll be talking about the BC Craft Brewers Conference, the BC Beer Awards, and more!
