I was a little worried that I wouldn’t have much to write about this week, but the the BC beer scene never disappoints. Check out our great selection of events below!

Tonight, Tacofino on East Hastings in Vancouver is hosting is hosting a five course Tofino Brewing pairing dinner. They will have two separate seatings with some great looking parings.

Also tonight in Vancouver, the Portside pub in Gastown holding a cask night, featuring a number of top mainland and Island breweries. The first brewery to drain their cask will win a line at the pub.

The Brickworks Pub in Whistler is holding a very similar event that same night. They will have a Backcountry, Parkside, and Howe Sound tap takeover , where the first brewery to drain their kegs will win a line at the pub.

Over in Pitt Meadows tonight, Foamers’ Folly is holding a launch party for Melosia, which is their first Foder aged ale. They will also be hosting two group tours of 14 people each.

On Saturday, the newly formed Victoria Beer Society will be holding their first-ever pop-up beer garden in Victoria’s Centennial Square. Their custom built truck will be pouring 12 taps of beer, kombucha, and sparkling water.

Next Wednesday, Russell Brewing is holding a launch party for their new Belgian-style table beer at The Churchill in Victoria. The beer is a collaboration with Mind the Bar, an initiative established to  “provide resources for people in the hospitality industry who are dealing with thoughts of suicide, depression, anxiety, and workplace harassment.”
