Strange Day #53
Our Strange Spelling Bee is inspired by spelling matches held annually, from classrooms to the international stage. According to reliable on-line sources, the Spelling Bee originated in the United States in the 1800’s, and apparently English has become the language of choice for Spelling Bees worldwide, not for its commonality, but its irregularity. So forget phonetics* or grammatical* rules and go with your gut instinct or photo memory and join the tourney*!

*Just saying – these words may or may not be competition words…

Strange Fellows is an East Van craft brewery inspired by tradition and creativity that celebrates the strange and extraordinary. We invite you to celebrate with us each month as we observe a different Strange Day, inspired by obscure superstitions and folklore from around the world.
