Strange Fellows All Hallows Eve Festivities include Mariachi, Pumpkin Carving

Vancouver, BC | As fall shifts to winter, it is said that the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead becomes thin, and spirits of the dead return to visit. Fearful of these wandering spirits, some people wear masks to fool them into believing that they too are from the other world. Others leave food on their doorsteps to dissuade hungry ghosts from entering the house, while others celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed on, welcoming them home with flowers, candles and food.

We welcome all spirits – both living and dead – to join us for a festive evening of music, beer and masquerade, in honour of the traditions that bind us.

Saturday, October 28th, 7-9pm
Las Estrellas | Vancouver’s own super-fantastic, all-female Mariachi Band will serenade spirits from 7-9pm
Blackmail Cask | We will tap a cask of chipotle-infused stout
Masquerading Souls will receive a beer on the house

Sunday October 22nd, 1-4pm
With wandering souls of the dead on the loose, best protect your home from evil spirits with a Jack-o-lantern on your doorstep. Bring friends and family by for an afternoon of pumpkin carving. Families welcome.
