As we head into the long weekend, there’s plenty of great events happening that will have you giving thanks that we have such a vibrant craft beer scene here in BC!
Coming up tonight, Malone’s in Vancouver is hosting a tap takeover by Chilliwack’s Old Yale Brewing. They will have several beers on tap, reps in attendance, and prizes.
On Friday night, The Casdade Room in Vancouver will be celebrating Driftwood Brewery’s 10th Anniversary. They will be pouring six beers each from Driftwood and Main Street Brewing , and $2 from each sale will be donated to the food bank.
On Saturday daytime, one of my favourite fall events, Fresh to Death is set to return at The Roundhouse in Vic West. This year’s line-up features a massive 26 fresh hop beers, 2 fresh hop ciders, and a fresh hop kombucha! Many of these beers have not even hit stores yet, so this will probably be your first chance to try them, and they will be at their optimal freshness.
On Saturday night up in Squamish, the 1st annual Craftoberfest is taking place. The event is set to feature local craft beer, an Oompah band, food trucks, contests, and more.
