Set at the junction of three mountain ranges, you will not find another event like it. It’s an amazing spot in the middle of everywhere that’s important when you are drinking great craft beverages and listening to music. It’s an event that creates a weekend opportunity you can’t find anywhere else. Come see what Valemount is all about and enjoy some excellent music and beverages while you’re at it.

Your ticket gets you a shuttle ride to and from the event location, entrance into the event, and a souvenir cup for tasting all the wonderful craft delights. You will need to bring cash for food, and we will take cash or credit for drink tickets and event merchandise.

This festival will draw up to 600 people from Kamloops, Prince George, Edmonton and Calgary and all the areas in between. Communities for Veterans

Communities for Veterans—is about changing the face of today’s Veterans in the mindset of the average Canadian.  They are no longer just the WWII gents at the Legion.  They are the 20 or 30 something in the grocery store with 2 kids under 10.  They are your local RCMP officer.  They are folks in your neighbourhood that belong to the reserves.  They are your neighbor.  A veteran is anyone who has signed up to serve your country as a military service member or a member of the RCMP.

Paul and Terry are working to help adjust that perception.  They want to help reintroduce Veterans into their communities.  As a Canadian Army Veteran family, Paul and Terry know what it’s like to serve their country.  His service took him to the Balkans in 1993, which was one of Canada’s most significant battles in recent history.  The events that he experienced are similar to what today’s Veterans are exposed to in Combat, peacetime, and Peacekeeping operations around the world.  No one is immune to the challenges faced by service members in areas of conflict.  Their mission is to help regular Canadians understand what the new Veteran looks like.  They also work hard to help Veterans adjust to their new life outside of the military through Equine Therapy and Community Engagement.

They are an amazingly dedicated Crew, and we work to support them by fund raising through this event.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 266

The Royal Canadian Legion’s mission is to serve Veterans, which includes serving military and RCMP members and their families, to promote Remembrance and to serve our communities and our country. The Royal Canadian Legion is Canada’s largest Veteran support and community service organization. Our more than 300,000 members in over 1400 Branches across Canada make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families, provide essential services within our communities, and Remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country. Through programs such as the Veterans Transition Network, the Military Skills Conversion program, Cockrell House for Homeless Veterans and many more, the Legion assists and supports Veterans across our Nation. Locally, Branch 266 continues to support our Veterans and seniors needs where ever we can. We offer financial assistance, donations of care aids to assist them staying in their homes and emotional support in times of need. Our Branch is a comfortable environment for Veterans, members and guests to gather to share camaraderie and a story or two.
