Pocket Beer 3rd edition: The indispensable guide to the world’s beers

Toronto-based beer writer Stephen Beaumont has announced details of an upcoming promotional tour for his latest book co-authored  with England’s Tim Webb.

Titled Best Beers in North America, and The Pocket Beer Book 3rd Edition in the UK, the 320-page book features detailed tasting notes for 2,000 beers from more than 80 countries, as written by Beaumont, Webb, and a “team of international contributors.”

Beaumont will be appearing at the following events to promote the book:

Thursday November 23rd – TORONTO – Best Beers tap takeover at Bar Hop BrewCo (137 Peter St.) at 5:30 PM.

Sunday November 26th – VICTORIA – Best Beers tap takeover at The Drake (517 Pandora Ave.) at 3:00 PM.

Monday November 27th – VANCOUVER – Book signing with special beers and a round table discussion featuring Central City’s Gary Lohin and Dageraad’s Ben Coli at Central City Brew Pub (871 Beatty St.) at 5:00 PM.

Tuesday November 28th – CALGARY – Best Beers tasting at the National on 17th (550 17 Ave. SW) at 4:00 PM.

Wednesday November 29th – LAKE LOUISE – Best Beers tasting at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise (111 Lake Louise Dr.) at time TBA.
