This week’s big feature is Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week—running from Friday Oct 4 to Friday Oct 11 at various venues across North Vancouver. While the grand opening event on Friday is sold out, there’s an after-party at Tap & Barrel–Shipyards and plenty of other events to enjoy throughout the week.

Speaking of which, on Saturday, Beere Brewing is celebrating their 2nd anniversary with special beers, an outdoor beer garden, and food trucks. They’re even serving full 16oz. sleeves again!

In Aldergrove on Saturday, Driftwood Brewery is holding their Hops and Harvest dinner at Laurica Farm, featuring regionally sourced culinary creations and seasonally inspired beers.

Also on Saturday, Darby’s in Kitsilano is hosting a tap takeover / Oktoberfest celebration, featuring beers from Bellingham’s renowned Chuckanut Brewing, making their debut in BC.

On Sunday, Tap & Barrel–Shipyards is holding the 3rd annual Battle of the Breweries, featuring special kegs from six North Shore breweries. The brewery whose keg runs dry first will be crowned the winner.

On Wednesday, Brewhall in Vancouver is holding a special event to mark the inaugural Canadian Beer Day, featuring special beers from several amazing breweries from across Canada.

Next Saturday, head to Victoria to celebrate this year’s hop harvest at Fresh to Death. This festival features over 20 fresh hop beers from some of the Island and Lower Mainland’s best breweries.

At the same time, Moody Ales is celebrating their 5th anniversary with a birthday bash at the brewery. They will have special beers, food trucks, live music, and a few surprises.
