The Okanagan Fest of Ale, one of BC’s longest running beer festivals, is celebrating 25 incredible years this year. The milestone anniversary Okanagan Fest of Ale is “Kickin’ it Old School”, taking things back to 1996 in what promises to be the biggest craft beer celebration the Okanagan has ever seen.
Penticton is quickly proving to be one of BC’s best craft beer towns, with six (soon to be 7) craft breweries. Excitement is percolating for the 25th annual Okanagan Fest of Ale on April 17th and 18th. Early bird tickets are on sale until January 15!

Winter came early this year in the Okanagan. As I write this, it’s cold and the snow is falling. There is lots of snow up in the mountains and our local ski hills will soon be filled with people strapping on skis, snowboards and snowshoes. As the snow falls, breweries are getting ready to launch their big, rich winter ales, perfect for the cold days ahead.

In celebration of our BC Craft Beer Community, we invited some of the many public-minded BC brewing industry folks we have the pleasure to know, to tell us more about their relationship with their local community, and within the brewing community. Their responses were voluminous and passionate. We’ve excerpted them here. We welcome yours too.
