Press Release

Langley, B.C – (March 2018) – Great beer, music and food are coming together once again this May Long Weekend to the beautiful town of Fort Langley.

Hosted by Trading Post Brewing, the second annual Fort Langley Beer & Food Festival is back at the Fort Langley National Historic Site on Saturday, May 19th. With over 20 breweries attending there is something for every craft beer enthusiast. Live music and over 20 food vendors will be onsite all day to keep the energy up!

“We are so excited to be hosting the Second Annual Fort Langley Beer and Food Festival! One of our core values at Trading Post is community, so putting on an event that brings thousands of people together in the heart of BC’s birthplace in Fort Langley, to enjoy fresh local beer and food produced and grown right here in the Fraser Valley is a natural fit,” says Lance, Co-Founder and General Manager of Trading Post. “Our community thrives when we choose to support local, so hosting an event like this to promote other beer and food vendors in our community will make for an amazing afternoon.”

Trading Post Brewing values community and craft beer, which is why they created a scholarship to help someone achieve their dream of becoming a brewer. The scholarship, named after John Mitchell, the grandfather of craft beer in Canada; benefits a student of Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Brewing Program. Once again, proceeds from the Festival will go towards the scholarship.

Tickets to the Festival also get attendees entrance into the Fort Langley National Historic Site, where they can learn how the convergence of Indigenous people, fur traders and Hawaiians led to the formation of British Columbia.
