Seven B.C. bars snag spots on national top-50 list

Some popular B.C. bars have been highlighted on a new list of Canada’s 50 best places to imbibe.

This year, for the first time, Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants has also ranked Canada’s Best Bars, including seven spots in B.C.

Snagging 2nd place is The Keefer Bar in Vancouver, a popular spot in Chinatown where the guide recommends patrons ask its bartenders for one of their Opium Sour cocktails.

“An outdoor patio with a blazing fire pit provides the perfect spot for a nightcap,” according to the guide.
