First ever BC Craft Beer Holiday Gift Guide launches

BC Craft Beer Holiday Gift Guide

What’s Brewing magazine has launched its 1st Annual Craft Beer Holiday Gift Guide. Possibly the first of its kind anywhere, this 8-page “lookbook” contains a comprehensive listing of beer-related gift shopping ideas in categories such as Arts & Crafts, Touring & Tasting, and more. BC craft beer fans using this Craft Beer Gift Guide should struggle less for gift ideas this season.

What’s Brewing contributors have provided ideas in categories including:

    • Getting Crafty: Creative Gifts
    • Seasonal Drinking
    • Festivals & Tasting
    • Brewery Tours
  • Reading & Education
  • At Home: Bar & Brewing

Craft beer has come a long way in popularity in British Columbia this decade, and the debut of a Craft Beer Gift Guide reflects that. The Guide contains links to online information and shopping pages belonging to beer-related businesses in BC, and around North America. As contributor Lynn McIlwee said, “Most of these suggested gifts can be purchased right from your couch.”

The Gift Guide even goes so far as to suggest craft beer education gifts, including night school beer appreciation and actual certification programs. Contributor Wendy Barron commented, “Some of these items are big-ticket, but they don’t clutter up the house!”

The 2017 Craft Beer Holiday Gift Guide can be read online as a downloadable PDF and a digital booklet. Its contents will also be featured in the Winter 2017-18 issue of What’s Brewing.
