Brewing up Support for North Shore Strong
NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. – June 25, 2025 – Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and North Point Brewing are proud to announce an innovative partnership introducing , a specially crafted non-alcoholic pale ale, with proceeds supporting the Foundation’s Sales of non-alcoholic beverages are surging and the Foundation hopes that the partnership will boost donations to its Re-Imagine Rehab campaign, a multi-million dollar initiative to create a dedicated 25-bed intensive rehabilitation unit at Lions Gate Hospital (LGH).
Community-Focused Design and Distribution
The limited-edition Hospital for Here non-alcoholic pale ale will be available in distinctive 4-packs featuring two designs showcasing beloved North Shore locations. The brew will be sold at all four Save-on-Foods locations in North Vancouver, North Point Brewing’s tasting room at 266 1st Street East, North Vancouver and select North Shore retailers. The non-alcoholic brew will be available through to the end of 2025.
Supporting Critical Rehabilitation Services
This transformative project to revitalize rehabilitation services at LGH will bring together rehabilitation specialists from across the hospital into one central hub, providing focused and specialized care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injuries, and musculoskeletal trauma, and debilitating illness.
For stroke patients in particular, fast access to rehabilitation services is critical. A dedicated unit allowing rehabilitation to start at the bedside would significantly benefit the 700-plus stroke victims who arrive in the LGH Emergency Department annually.
“Access to immediate rehab care leads to faster recovery and improves long-term outcomes for patients,” explained Judy Savage, president and CEO of Lions Gate Hospital Foundation. “Many local residents requiring specialized in-patient services currently have to be transferred to the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre. This campaign will ensure they can receive the care they need in their home community, making the North Shore Strong, and getting local residents back to doing what they love in the place they love.”
Perfect Partnership for the North Shore
North Point Brewing, a family-friendly craft brewery founded by North Shore residents Sean Annable, Liam Jeffries and Matt Legate, has become known for its community connection since opening in December 2019. The brewery’s mission to combine great craft beer with West Coast lifestyle values aligns perfectly with the North Shore’s Hospital for Here.
“This partnership represents everything we believe in as North Shore residents and business owners,” said Sean Annable, co-founder of North Point Brewing. “All three of us had our children born at Lions Gate Hospital, and we’ve seen firsthand the incredible work they do. When we learned about the Re-Imagine Rehab campaign and how it will help our neighbors recover from the injuries that come with our active lifestyle, we knew we had to be part of the solution.”
