B.C. municipalities look at changing patio rules for restaurants, bars

Iani Makris expanded the patio in front of his North Vancouver restaurant two years ago, and he would love to do the same at his two locations in downtown Vancouver as he prepares to reopen to in-house dining when COVID-19 restrictions are loosened.

The B.C. government announced this week that restaurants and pubs will be able to welcome customers later this month if they meet physical distancing and hygiene guidelines, which will mean removing tables and serving fewer people than before.
