September 13

You would think it would be quiet after Great Canadian Beer Festival last weekend, but it looks like we are really squeezing the last drops out of summer this week with festivals, tap takeovers, and parties taking place all over BC!

Coming up tonight, Darby’s Gastown is hosting a tap takeover by Founders Brewing, featuring seven taps from this renowned Michigan brewery, including a few of their rare barrel-aged releases!

Also tonight, St Augustine’s is hosting their Friendly Neighbourhood Tap Takeover, featuring beers from Fraser Valley breweries like Ridge Brewing, Northpaw, Maple Meadows, Silver Valley, and Foamers’ Folly.

On Saturday, Moon Under Water is celebrating their 6th anniversary with the release of their Year Six wheat wine, taps of special beers from over the years, a live band, games, and a BBQ.

The week’s main event is Whistler Village Beer Festival. While there are a number of satellite events throughout the week, including a week-long Brewer’s Row tap takeover at Handlebar, the main event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, with over 140 craft beers and ciders from 70+ breweries to sample, live music, food trucks, axe throwing, and more.

As if one beer festival wasn’t enough, the Fraser Valley Culture & Craft Beer Festival is also taking place in Chilliwack on Saturday. This event features beers from 20 BC craft breweries, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a silent auction.

Get out there and enjoy summer while you still can!
