It might be Halloween tonight, but you should definitely get out and enjoy some treats at one of the many brewery anniversary parties happening this weekend—beer always does the trick! See our Brewery Birthday Calendar and our Halloween Event Calendar.

On Friday night, île Sauvage Brewing in Victoria celebrating their 1st anniversary, with an event featuring food, a DJ, 4 new beers and several returning favourites, for a total of 19 beers!

The same night, Red Collar Brewing in Kamloops is kicking off their 5th anniversary weekend, with a 5 year Black Dog quad vertical tasting and tours of the brewery. On Saturday they will have a carnival-themed party, then on Sunday they will have a beer-paired brunch.

On Saturday, Luppolo Brewing in East Vancouver is celebrating their 3rd anniversary, with special birthday beers, live music, free Italian aperitivo snacks, and access to their production space.

Also on Saturday, the 6th annual Powell River Beer Festival is taking place at Dwight Hall in Townsite. They will have over 25 vendors serving craft beer and spirits from across British Columbia.

Next Friday, Joe Wiebe is curating a rather unique event at The Port Theatre in Nanaimo, where he will be pairing five craft beers with baroque music of the same regional origin.

Next Saturday and Sunday, Winterbrau returns to Canoe Brewpub for its 8th year. This all-inclusive celebration of local seasonal beers and fine food is an annual favourite of mine. It usually sells out instantly, but this year there are two sessions, so you don’t have to miss out.

The same day in Port Moody, Twin Sails is throwing a 4th anniversary party. The event features 10 new beers, a selection from their cellar, and a few beers from their friends.
