Have you ever wanted a festival where you can sample beer, whiskey, and other spirits? Hitting the PNE on Friday and Saturday, Hopscotch is the event you have been looking for! Along with tasty libations, they will have live music, snacks, and even full dinners being served at the food exhibition.
Renowned beer writer Stephen Beaumont will be at The Drake on Saturday for an exclusive one-day engagement. To mark the occasion, the day’s tap list will be curated by Stephen himself and will include a number of beers that have never been poured at The Drake before.
Lighthouse Brewing recently asked fans to nominate beer flavours they would like them to brew. This Saturday they will be serving casks of the top two suggestions at their new tasting room and asking people to vote for their favourite.
Also on Saturday, Big Rock Urban in Vancouver will be hosting an open house to show off their newly refreshed location. They will have free tours, tastings, growler giveaways, and live music from Scenic Route to Alaska.
On Wednesday of next week, Smiths Pub in Victoria is hosting a special tap takeover curated by the Victoria branch of CAMRA. The beers are yet to be announced, but it’s a good bet they will be some special stuff in there.
