It’s a big week for Kelowna beer lovers, as the Great Okanagan Beer Festival (GOBF) takes over the town for 8 days of events. We’ve listed the highlights below, but check out the full event calendar for more!

Tonight, the Train Station pub in Kelowna is hosting a Twin Sails tap takeover as a soft-opening to GOBF. They will have 9 taps pouring and will be holding a draw for 4 all-access GOBF tickets.

In Port Moody tonight, the rotary club is holding The Search for the Perfect Pint. This tasting event showcases beers from 29 breweries with proceeds going back to the community and various charitable projects.

In Victoria tonight, Cicerone Jeff Kendrew from Category 12 Brewing is hosting a masterclass on yeast in beer at Cascadia Liquor in Quadra Village. Meanwhile, over at Vessel Liquor Joe Wiebe is holding a seminar on kettle sours, wild ales, and barrel-aged “old world” classics.

Saturday brings the GOBF 2019 main event, held at Kelowna’s Waterfront Park, where you can sample over 120 beers and ciders from 60 craft breweries. Later that night, Train Station Pub will be hosting a free after-party in their parking lot.

In Burnaby on Saturday, head to Dageraad Brewing, where they will be throwing a 5th anniversary party. They’ll have food, live music, and awesome Belgian-inspired beers pouring all day long.
