Jan 17, 2019

They call January 21 “Blue Monday,” because apparently it’s the most depressing day of the year. Obviously the man who invented this day was taking part in that Dry January madness. Learn from his mistake and let these craft beer events stave off the winter blues!

Tonight at Vessel Liquor in Victoria Joe Wiebe will be hosting a seminar & tasting on his favourite beers of 2018 and will discuss what to look forward to in 2019.

On Friday, head to Callister Brewing where Sundown will be launching a new hazy pale ale called Magic Mike XXL, brewed in collaboration VanBrewers member Mike-Rock-Smith.

On Saturday, Spinnakers in Vic West is holding a launch party for their seasonal Holliewood oyster stout. They will be brewing a small batch and serving wort boiled oysters, oyster pate, and smoked oyster crostinis.

That same day they will also be hosting a celebration of life for Victoria craft beer legend Greg Evans. Please note, this is an event for friends and family to remember his life and legacy.

Field House Birthday Week

From Jan 19—26 Field House Brewing in Abbotsford will be celebrating their birthday week and they will be kicking things off on Saturday with the launch of their one-year aged Gooseberry Sour Anniversary Ale, music, prizes, and some nostalgia.
