Well, it’s a quiet couple of weeks for craft beer events, but that’s usually the case as we close out the year. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, Festivus, or none of the above, have a great couple of weeks and enjoy lots of craft beer!
Tonight, Category 12 Brewing in Saanichton is celebrating their 5th anniversary with a party at the brewery. They will have live music, bites from their new kitchen, a cask, a fruit infused version of Juicy Data, and an Excitation Shaft Cocktails.
On Boxing day, the Shipyards Brewery District has put together a special brewery crawl of each brewery in the district. Tickets are $20 and include a 16 oz pour at Beere Brewing, House of Funk Brewing, North Point Brewing, and a flight at Streetcar Brewing.
If you are looking to ring in the new year at a brewery, then you are in luck, because there are parties coming up at Île Sauvage Brewing, Backcountry Brewing, Dogwood Brewing, Slackwater Brewing, Spinnakers Brewpub, Canoe Brewpub, Foamers’ Folly, Deep Cover Brewer + Distillers, Brewhall, Howe Sound Brewing, Tapworks Brewing, Riot Brewing, Kettle River Brewing, Wolf Brewing, BNA Brewing.
Looking ahead to 2020, The Drake is gearing up to celebrate their 6th annual Wild & Sour day on January 4. This special day sees them dedicate all of their taps to some of the worlds best lambics, wild ales, and sours. There is a special lunch and curated flight for ticket holders, then they open to the public at 14:30.
