Well, you should be half way though your craft beer advent calendar right about now and the holiday spirit should be settling in nicely. If you feel like keeping the party going, there’s a few fun events coming up this weekend to help you though that final stretch.
Tonight, Joe Wiebe is hosting a seminar on holiday beers at Vessel Liquor in Victoria. He will be guiding people through eight different examples of the (loose) style, while sharing his insights on them.
This weekend, Wildeye Brewing in North Vancouver is holding their second Cask Fest Weekender. They will have four special casks on offer throughout the weekend, with each one conceived by a different Wildeye brewer, going head to head to see whose is best.
On Saturday, The Drake in Victoria is hosting a tap takeover / launch event for Florida’s famous Cigar City Brewing. They will have six beers on tap and will be serving up a special Cubano sandwich from the kitchen.
Up Island on Saturday, Land and Sea Brewing up in Comox is celebrating their 1st anniversary with a birthday bash at the brewery. They have brewed a special beer for the occasion, and will have live music, drink specials, prize giveaways, and birthday cake.
In Vancouver on Saturday, Parallel 49 is throwing a “Bad Santa” party in their warehouse. They will have 7 beers and a cider available, Mom’s Grilled Cheese truck on site, live music from The Millennials, a live DJ, and more!
