Hoppy National IPA day! There’s a “Galaxy” of events to “Select” from this “Summer” long weekend. Get out and enjoy them, craft beer “Warrior”! Who “Saaz” puns aren’t cool?!

All day today, Brewhall in Vancouver is celebrating National IPA Day with a flight of rare IPAs from across North America, including a Brasserie Dieu-du-Ciel collaboration with the Alchemist—the brewery that started the NEIPA craze!

This evening, Darby’s Gastown is hosting an evening with Skagit Valley, Washington’s Garden Path Fermentation. They will be pouring 7 of their incredible mixed fermentation and barrel-aged beers, and offering optional cheese pairings. The owners will also be in attendance, and will be sharing the stories behind the brewery and their beers.

Up in Tofino tonight, the Hatch is hosting a Vancouver Island Brewing Pod Pack takeover. they will be pouring all four Pod Pack collaborations, and a portion of the proceeds from VIB drinks sales will be donated to the Pacific Salmon Foundation.

Tomorrow afternoon, Callister is holding a launch night for the brand new Altitude Beer Co, where they will be pouring their first three beers, including two special collaborations with local breweries.

Tomorrow night, Hundy in Vancouver is hosting an Another Beer Company tap takeover. They will be pouring four delicious beers from this new brewery to pair with their infamous burgers and fries.

On Sunday, Red Bird Brewing in Kelowna is throwing a 2nd anniversary party, with special beers and live music.

Next weekend, we have Clover Valley Beer Fest, Summer Cask Fest at Red Racer, and an East of East Van tap takeover at Smiths. Check back next week for more on those.
