It’s one heck of a busy week—we’ve got beer festivals, pairing dinners, an anniversary, and two new brewery opening parties!

Tonight, head over to JJ’s restaurant in Vancouver, for BrewItaly—an Italian-inspired craft beer and food tasting event, featuring brews by KPU brewing students from Rome and food from Vancouver Community College Culinary Arts students.

On Saturday, I’ll be heading to Abbotsford’s Jubilee Park for Fruit Beer Fest. This new festival showcases dozens of fruited sours, saisons, wild ales, and more from a number of local, national, and US breweries. They’ll also have live music and food from DownLow chicken and Big Day BBQ.

Also on Saturday, Battle of the Brews is taking place at Surrey City Hall Plaza. This Surrey Fire Fighters charity event will feature about 20 local breweries and several food vendors.

In Coquitlam on Saturday, Mariner Brewing is celebrating their 2nd anniversary with limited releases, a cask, live music, giveaways, games, and cake.

Up in Comox on Saturday, New Tradition Brewing is having their grand opening. Head on down to check out beers from The Island’s newest brewery.

On Sunday, Kelowna’s latest brewery: Barnowl is holding a grand opening party. They’ll have entertainment, food, prizes, games, and of course, beer.

On Tuesday, CRAFT Beer Market in Vancouver is holding Caskapalooza 2019. This annual event features over 30 unique casks from dozens of local craft breweries.

On Wednesday, Heron rock Bistro will be holding a “Wild Card” beer dinner, where they will be serving a four course meal, with each course paired with a mystery wild fermented ale.
