Well the craft beer industry is certainly an incredibly resilient and adaptive bunch! We can’t have in-person events, but it didn’t take long for them all to go online. One things though… maybe don’t schedule all of the events at the same time. I guess I have two computers now that I work from home, but running concurrent live streams could get a little confusing!

This afternoon at 16:00 Central City / Red Racer head brewer Gary Lohin is live streaming a special Q&A from their taproom via Facebook.

Tonight, from 18:00 to 19:00 the BC Ale Trail is holding their first Virtual Happy Hour on their Instagram channel. This week’s event will be hosted by Angry Hen Brewing, a craft brewery in Kaslo, BC. Led by Cass Gerritsen, co-owner and front of house manager, Angry Hen will also be taking over the BC Ale Trail Instagram account as part of the platform’s weekly #guestgrammer program.

From 18:00 to 18:30, Michael from 3 Ranges Brewing will be running a live stream, where he will be tasting and chatting about their Thin Line golden ale. Learn more about the Thin Line and why they appreciate our first responders, especially in times like these.

Then from 19:00 to 20:00, Another Beer Co in New Westminster is holding a live trivia night, streamed straight from the brewery on Instagram and Facebook live! There’s even prizes to be won!

At 19:30 CAMRA Victoria is holding a watch party, where they’ll be showing the program, ‘How Beer Saved the World.’ If you’re interested in joining your fellow members tonight, click here to join in on the fun. The watch party page has a chat feature that allows everyone to talk to each other, plus you can use your webcam, (or front facing camera on a smartphone/tablet,) to see your fellow members and give ‘digital’ cheers.

Tomorrow night from 18:30 to 20:30, Aaron from the the Cascadian Beer Podcast is hosting a Stay Home Pub Quiz, featuring a few rounds of questions, along with some exciting guest hosts for the rounds. This event is repeated on Tuesday.
