At 18:00 tonight, The BC Ale Trail is holding their Virtual Hoppy Hour on Instagram, where Joe Wiebe will be talking to Kyle from Empty Keg Brewhouse in Merritt, and Dave and Danny from Vancouver Island Brewing in Victoria, who will be talking about an exciting new beer release and doing a live tasting of the beer.

At the same time, Stanley Park Brewing is holding a four-course beer pairing dinner in honour of Oktoberfest.

Whistler Craft Beer Month kicks off today. They have dozens of events planned, so head to their website to see the full schedule.

Running though October 3, Trading Post will be celebrating Octoberfest with German beer, German food, German music and games.

Running through October 4, Portland Craft will be celebrating Oktoberfest with a tap list full of German-style beers from Chuckanut and Smog City. Nice!

Running though October 12, BREWHALL will be celebrating Octoberfest with daily food and drink specials, including  Paulaner Hefe-Weisse and Paulaner Oktoberfest imported from Germany, plus they will be serving their take on a traditional German ale with their award-winning Köl Story Bro Kölsch.

Starting at midday on Saturday, Smiths pub in Victoria is hosting a Superflux Beer tap takeover. Their chef will be cooking up some special hotdogs to go with the beer.

At 15:00 on Saturday, Kelowna Beer Institute will be holding an Oktoberfest event with Bavarian food and Oktoberfest beer served in Oktoberfest steins.
