About The Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB)

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is a non-profit organization with a mission to create strong, connected communities through the power of food. We offer regular access to healthy food, education and training in welcoming, dignified spaces across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. We rely on donations to provide nutritious food to over 9,000 clients and 73 Community Agency Partners every week; 25% of our clients are children, 45% are adults and 30% are seniors.

The GVFB is committed to our vision of accessible, healthy and sustainable food for all, and we pro-actively work to help alleviate hunger in our communities. While we appreciate generous donations from the public during the holidays, people need access to nutritious, quality food all year round which means support outside of the traditional giving times of Thanksgiving and Christmas is critical.
