This Thursday, we’re going to give it a go! A Thursday Jam Night in the post-lockdown world… sure to be very different than the familiar Firehall Jam Nights of yesteryear, but with the same ol’ buzz of live musical collaboration! This will be very weather-dependent; a final go-ahead call will be made and announced mid-day Thursday.
Needless to say, there will be rules. Contrary to Jam Night’s usual resistant attitude towards general order, the current state of affairs demands that we implement and enforce some safety protocols. They are as follows…
– Maximum 3 musicians on stage at a time
– 2m distance must be kept between musicians
– Microphones and will be sanitized by staff between performers
– You must bring and play only your own instrument(s)
– One person per microphone
– Musicians are encouraged to jam along at their own table, if appropriate (decided by performer)
– Musicians must register with our Jam Night Host, the illustrious Milan South Okanagan Starcic
– 3 songs per group
– Dancing is permitted close to your table
– Please stay at your table with your social group, unless it is your turn to go on stage, buy the drinks, or utilize the lavatory facilities
AND, as always…
-Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area (new location, moved to top of back ramp)
– Parking up top is for short-term unloading purposes only
– Tipping your bartender is encouraged
