Masked Cask Craft Spirit Festival

The event is sponsored by the Castlegar 2000 Sunrise Rotary club which has been in operation since 1999. The original “beer fest” began five years ago and has been a success. The committee members have decided, this year, to modernize the event to include not only craft beer, but distilled spirits and ciders as well.so we have renamed the event Masked Cask to reflect its diversity. The emphasis is on “craft style spirits” only.

We expect a large group to come from our local community colleges in Castlegar, Trail and Nelson. We have also added a theme “the Steampunk” as this era has most appeal for this group. The event will take place on October 28(Halloween) so will be a costumed event with theme costumes. A variety of games will be provide to entertain our guests as they sample various spirits.

The hours of the event will be limited 4:00 to 11:00 PM. Rotary will provide “safe rides home” as a free service to our guests. The site is the Castlegar Recreation Center . Date October 28 2017.
