After cutting his teeth with punk rock band Potential Union, Cody Jackson ventured from his hometown of Powell River to Chilliwack, BC. Now, as a singer-songwriter, he has turned his attention to folkier, acoustic music. Along the way, he has linked-up with many different musicians, always gaining new inspiration and making new friends. In the fall of 2018, he released his first EP, “Where the River Meets the Sky,” on which he collaborated with fellow songwriters Luke Vandevert and Elise Spletzer. This EP put Jackson on the radar as a solo artist, as he was named one of NoiseTrade’s “New and Notable” artists soon after its release.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Brian Fallon, Dave Hause, and Great Big Sea, Jackson fuses folk-rock and country, while still maintaining his punk-rock spirit. His raspy voice, captivating melodies, and thoughtful lyrics will not only leave you entertained, but also eager for more.
