BC Hop Fest is all set for Saturday, September 29, 2018, and a great way to get in the mood for October’s BC Craft Beer Month with a bunch of great beer and great people! This unique annual event brings together the best of British Columbia’s rapidly growing craft breweries and hop products of all kinds. This year, we will welcome hop lovers to enjoy the offerings of over 40 breweries, 5 food vendors, including Lepp Farm Market, all at our beautiful Sumas Prairie farm.

Gather your friends for a Fraser Valley experience like no other. Eat and drink among hops still on the bine, kick up your heels to live music, talk to your favourite brewmaster, and join us in celebrating the hop harvest at BC Hop Fest 2018.

Canada’s ONLY farm based Fresh Beer Festival celebrates the 4th Annual return of BC Hop Fest: Celebrating Fresh Beer this September 29th, 2018. The event takes place on the fertile Sumas Prairie in Abbotsford B.C. at the hop farm located at 1905 Cole Road where sun, water, and gentle breezes contribute to one of the best hop-growing environments in the Pacific Northwest. Join us as we celebrate the hop harvest, the resurgence of BC’s hop growing industry and fresh hopped beer produced by many spectacular BC craft breweries. Fresh beer tastings, hop farm tours, food trucks, and terrific live music will provide a fun-filled afternoon to start off Craft Beer Month in British Columbia.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

This is a 19 + event. No admittance under the age of 19. We will be requiring 2 pieces of ID to purchase tokens for beer tastings.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There will be plenty of FREE parking on site and we will be offering free non-alcoholic beverages for Designated Drivers. Taxi service is available and we will be working once again with Vine and Hops to arrange shuttles from Vancouver. For local transportation, please use Central Valley Taxi or another local taxi service. Costs from the Quality Inn should be approx. $15 dollars for a car of 4 people.

Will I be able to use my credit or debit card at the event?

This will be a cash-only event, please.

Will there be wifi available for my devices?

Yes! With thanks to our sponsors, we will have a powerful wifi signal for your free use during the event!

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

Outside food and beverages will not be permitted at the event. Plenty of water will be available at the event. If you would like to bring your own chairs, we would encourage that. It can sometimes be windy and cool at the farm, and this is a rain or shine event. Please dress for the weather.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes. Tickets can be gifted.

How much are beer tokens?

Tokens will be available on-site at a rate of 3 tokens for $5.

Do I have to bring my printed/electronic ticket to the event?

Absolutely. There will be NO TICKET SALES at the event and parking attendants will need to see your ticket as you enter the property. We will also be able to accept electronic tickets at the event.

What is the refund policy?

The registration deadline is September 28th, 2018. Full refunds are available prior to September 27, 2018. There will be no ticket sales and no refunds at the event. After this date, no refunds will be offered. To request a cancellation or to make a change please send an email to the Event Planner via admin at bchopfest dot ca

The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes. Attendees will be given a bracelet at the site for token purchase once their ID is confirmed. Designated drivers will receive a different bracelet entitling them to free non-alcoholic drinks.

Is there a discount for Designated Drivers, or pregnant Mom’s who will not be drinking?
