Meet the team behind Locality Brewing, making and serving super-solid beers as they grow towards being Langley’s field-to-glass brewery.

Some of Canada’s best breweries reside in that darned, smug Ontario. If only grudgingly, one must admit that one might want to stop in and check some of them out, if one happened to find oneself in or around Universe Central. The Beer Seekers faced just that type of temptation this past summer and caved in readily.
Heading north from Toronto, Hwy 400 zooms through the city of Barrie, the gateway to Ontario’s vast Lake Country recreational region. The highway is busy every Friday afternoon as endless numbers of urbanites make their way toward the peace and quiet of their cottages. As the map indicates, whether you choose to head west from Barrie or continue north into Muskoka, you can easily find breweries to explore.
The name ‘BeerSeekers’ was born six years ago when, after our umpteenth brew tour in Oregon, the two of us thought “this trip was really interesting, and we just have to tell people about it.”
Here’s the story of how perhaps the world’s most famous name in massive, corporate beer also belongs to what might be one of Europe’s best and largest guardians of the craft ethos.
In Czechia, as it’s alternatively known, you will find beer culture that is completely unlike ours. These people are, famously, the most fanatical consumers of beer (per capita) anywhere.
